As you saunter around Chester you will be struck by its shop-ability - not just your recognised chains, but many little shops and boutiques, locally owned and locally run. In addition to the main Chester shopping centres, the Forum and the Mall Grosvenor, the city is packed with a huge variety of retail outlets, from fashion shops to fine antiques. A newly developed courtyard, Rufus Court offers an eclectic mix of small, individual shops, whilst just behind the Town Hall you will find Chester market - where stalls of fruit and vegetables, haberdashery and knick-knacks can be found. The crowning glory for shopping in Chester, has to be the magnificent 13th century Rows, two tiers of shops - a continuous gallery of half-timbered fronts.
